The Maternal Health Task Force website has launched!
The MHTF (where I work as an intern) is housed at EngenderHealth in New York City and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. A major part of the Task Force’s mandate is to build a knowledge management system exclusively focused on Maternal Health—and the new website is a large part of the overall knowledge management system. The site houses a maternal health database and will soon have several interactive features to discuss current issues in the field. It aims to bring together clinicians, policy makers, health experts, film makers, journalists, and students from around the world in one online arena to work together to achieve one goal: Millennium Development Goal 5 (to reduce maternal mortality by 2/3 and achieve universal access to sexual and reproductive health services for women).
